So why TIDI Sports Academy? 'Never heard of them', 'What are they all about?' There will be numerous questions that you and others may have as to why chose TIDI. I hope that this Blog sheds some light on who we are and what makes us successful.
TIDI Sports is a newly formed Private Football Academy (PFA). The idea was developed by myself along with the ethos' and 'the way we do' what we do. The concept of TIDI may be new, but my personal experience is not.
Before the worldwide pandemic, I had a private academy. It was successful, but I decided to take a step back to focus on other ventures, which directly tie in with what we now have as TIDI Sports.
The time away allowed me to research and develop my ideas. The most poignant thing to come from my research that has supported in solidifying our practices is the ability to 'Walk the buffet', sound's complicated? No, it really isn't, I had to decide the following:
What are we wanting to achieve?
How are we going to achieve this?
How do we know we have achieved it?
A simple cycle that goes into all of our TIDI practices. This is an important piece of the puzzle, as it helps us to maximise the quality of coaching and also, the development of players.
At TIDI Sports Academy, the focus is on TOTAL development.
Yes, the ultimate goal is for all members to improve their participation in playing football. But, we use the appellation 'Academy'. This is not just a word attached to TIDI Sports.
Our academy focuses on member development on and off the pitch. At TIDI Sports Academy, we also offer tuition and mentoring.
We have introduced mentoring this season with our current U16s squad receiving tuition in English, Mathematics and Science for an hour each weekly online.
We aim to develop this as we continue to grow and have all our members access our rich core curriculum programme.
Our coaching systems have been developed from years of experience in the Professional game. Having the privilege of working with numerous household name clubs, I have been able to develop my practices based on professional experiences and continue to do so. This has transferred over into the TIDI Standards, we only have coaches who have the same ethos' and ideas to ensure that the vision transfers into practices.
The beautiful thing about TIDI Sports Academy is that we continue to learn and develop our practices. Continued CPD, discussions with other professionals in football, and also, taking on good practices from others. There will always be new policies, procedures and practices, to be leaders in what we do, we must continue to evolve and develop.
So, back to the question, 'Why TIDI?' Well, quite a simple response. At TIDI We not only work to offer a quality service for our members, we also work on improving our practices to meet the varying needs of all of our members. With this, a consistent level of practice across all of our member services to ensure that all experiences are of a top standard.
